The Al Hirschfeld Theatre, located at 302 West 45th Street in Midtown Manhattan, is a historic Broadway venue that opened in 1924 as the Martin Beck Theatre and was designed by architect G. Albert Lansburgh. Known for its richly decorated interior with Moorish and Romanesque-inspired design elements, it stands out as one of Broadway’s most ornate houses. Renamed in 2003 in honor of caricaturist Al Hirschfeld, the theatre has a seating capacity of around 1,400 and is currently operated by ATG Entertainment. Today, it is best known as the home of Moulin Rouge! The Musical, offering strong sightlines and acoustics across its two-level layout, creating an intimate yet visually rich Broadway experience.
